Basketball team Partizan Belgrade

My today’s blog is about best basketball team in Serbia, „Partizan Belgrade“. The team is formed on 4th Oct 1945 and it was a military team. In first years it wasn’t quite successful, so it didn’t have many fans. The things changed in the late nineties when the team had some very good results. Partizan was already the club with most champion titles in the former Yugoslavia. In the year 1992, although it played just one game in Belgrade (others were played on neutral ground), Partizan won the Euroleague, the most reputable league in Europe, and so it became one of the European creme de la creme basketball teams. In the last few years Partizan is very respected and feared club in Europe, especially because of the atmosphere in his Pioneer Hall. The “Pionir” is always full when European teams come on a match. Partizan has won 30 titles so far, and 7 of 15 domestic championships titles are in the row. And all Partizan fans (including me) expect the 8th title this year under coach Dusko Vujosevic.
