The film gattaca plays in the future. It´s about two brothers. Anton Freeman is a genetic engineered person but his brother is natural born. He has a heart failure. Genetic engineered means that his parents decide about the hair colour also the colour of the eyes and the length of the lifespan. Genetic engineered persons will be prefered against normal persons. So it`s very hard for Vincent to find a job in the space center because of his heart failure. It `s his dream of becoming an astronaut. Vincent meets Jerome Morrow and take his identity and gives Vincent his blood, his hairs and his piss that Vincent could pass the DNA test in the space center. But then the mission director is murdered and the police find a hair from an invalid person. The police blame an invalid but in the end they find the right murderer of the mission director. His brother Anton Freeman the investigating police officer find out that Vincent works in the space center to become an astronaut. So he request Vincent to give up his dream. In the end Vincent can fly , with a crew into the space before this the doctor want form Vincent a DNA check. It comes out that Vincent is invalid , but the doctor had it known it all the time. Following the shuttle lift off , at home Jerome is committing suicide.
